The family is: Descendants of James Bacon, Jr. 1 James Bacon, Jr. 1828 - +Electa 1836 - 2 John R. Bacon 1855 - 2 Lewis H. Bacon 1857 - 2 William M. Bacon 1860 - 2 Nellie L. Bacon 1874 - 2 Charles J. Bacon 1877 - James Bacon, Jr., is the son of James Bacon and Fidelia Rice. He was born in New Hampshire. He is the grandson of Lemuel Royce, of the Revolutionary War. I have an autograph book that belonged to my Great-Grandmother with the signature of Nellie Bacon, age 7, of Ravenna. The date on the book is about 1880. I am curious what happened to Nellie and her family. Thanks for any information you might be able to provide.

His wife, Betsy, born 19 JAN 1782 in New York. Would like her maiden name. His son Lysias, born 4 AUG 1824, married Charlotte M. GIBSON 8 MAR 1849, in Fond du Lac Co. Wisconsin. He died 19 DEC 1904, Loyal, Clark Co., Wisconsin. Lysias is my great-great grandfather.

CARL, COIL, CORL, CORLE, COYL, CROUL, OREN posted by Kathi Corl Browne on Thursday, March 18, 1999: Searching for information on Samuel CORL (b. 1800 in PA) and Tobitha OREN (b. 1803). They moved to Stark Co. around 1826, and then later moved on into Portage Co. sometime after 1828. Supposedly they both died in 1884 in Portage Co., but I haven't found a grave. Would really like to know where in PA Samuel came from so I can hook him up with parents. Name was sometimes recorded as CORLE, CARL, CROUL, COIL, or COYL.

DUNN posted by Lloyd Miller on Friday, March 19, 1999: I am searching for more information on the Thomas Dunn family in Ohio. One member Jessie Dunn is buried in Holmes Co. OH, and another, Catherine Dunn(b.7/8/1811) married Moses J. Miller (1/12/1811-5/6/1897) both buried in Holmes Co. OH. Oral history says they came to Ohio from Pa. in about 1810 or 1811. Also, that there were 9 children and Catherine was the youngest, as the mother died soon after her birth, and Catherine was raised by an Amish family, perhaps in Tuscurawas Co OH. Any info on this Thomas family would be greatly appreciated.

ASH, BONNELL, FERRIS posted by Ronald Myers Sr. on Sunday, March 28, 1999: I am looking for any info on a Jennie Ferris. Her mother was Eliza (Roberts) Bonnell. Eliza died in the Toledo Mental Hospital in 1912 but was from Van Wert County Ohio. Jennie Ferris could be Virginia Ash. Virginia was the daughter of Eliza Roberts and Abraham Ash, Eliza's first spouse. Virginia was born in Doddridge County West Virginia in the early 1860's. Any and all information will be very appreciated. According from the common pleas court file, Jennie Ferris was from Ravenna, Ohio in 1913.

DODDS, LUTZ, OTTO posted by William Fogarty on Sunday, March 28, 1999: Searching for information on the following familes: Amos Otto (4/25/1852 to 5/28/1933) married to Sarah Ann Lutz (12/5/1852 to 3/11/1927). Marriage date 12/24/1874 Children: Irving, Walter, Edwin, Orin, Clara (Weary) ran the post office in Suffield, Earl, Harry, Edith, and Sylvia Louise who married my grandfather Jesse Fogarty. Family home was just east of Mogadore at an area that was called Lutztown. There was an old grade school there for many years. Amos was suspose to be a rather large land owner. Believe his father was Jacob Otto? Any information on either the Otto or Lutz family would be appreciated. Also; searching the family of William Raynor Dodds and wife Josie who ran the train depost at Suffield for many years.
