Anna M. Bair. She was born about 1871 or 1872 in Portage County. I
would like to find out who her parents were and any other
information I can. I believe her mother's name was Emma and she came

- Mariah Gaylord was the adopted daughter of William Gaylord and
Lovina Shirtliff Gaylord. She was born in Ohio 1837. She was not in
their family in the in the 1840 census for Franklin Township, but
was in the 1850 census. Does anyone know who were her parents?
Mariah married William H. Colton of Rootstown.

census Joseph H. McCloughan lived in Springfield Twp. of Portage Co.
Then in 1840 he was listed in Coventry Twp. of Summit County (I know
that Summit was created in 1840). Also where is Suffield Twp.?

- Looking for information on William FORBES, b. ca 1800 PA, d. 12
Oct 1854. He married Ann Maria McCOMBS on 28 Nov 1823 in Ohio. Their
children were born in OH between 1824 and 1842. Some were born in
Ravenna, Portage Co., OH. These children include 2 sets of twins who
died young and Amelia, William Hazard Forbes(m. Abigail Louisa
Jasper), Robert Washington Forbes, Sarah Ann Forbes(m. Wm. Payne),
David Calvin Forbes, Benjamin Nelson Forbes(m. Francis Cathrine
Jessee), and Rebecca Maria Forbes(m. ? Netterfield). The last son
James Jackson Forbes was born in MO. in 1844.

- Looking for Oliver Frost's parents. He was born in 1827 in NY
(?). He married Margaret Thompson the daughter of Asa Thompson and
Sally (Locke0 10-11-1848 in Portage County. Almost immediatly they
moved to Ottawa County, MI. There they ahd the follwing children.
George b. 1850; Alfred E. b. 1851; Arthur E. b. 1854; James M. b.
1857 and Emma E. b. 1861. At the time of his wife's death the
children lived in the following places. George , Kalamazoo County,
MI(md Allie Stage, dau. of Nicholaus Stage and Julia Post); Alfred,
Minnesota, Arthur Idaho; James, Washington State; Emma, Idaho. I am
not sure if Emma was married, no mention is made of a spouse. I am
trying to find Olivers parents. I have traced Margaret Thompson's
line through her father and mother. I am willing to share anything I
have on the Locke, Thompson and Frost lines. Please contact me if
